City Card

Experience Malmö with the Malmö card - the simple and easy way.
The card is valid for the the period you have bought it for; 1 or 2 days. The card includes entrance fee to many of Malmös great museums and family attractions.
The Malmö Card is sold only together with the Malmö City Card, a discount card offering over 800 special discounts in hundred of shops, restaurants, cofee bars etc.

Language Swedish is the official language of Sweden.
English and German are widely spoken.
Currency

Swedish krona

1 krona = 100 öre.

ATMs are commonly found at banks throughout Sweden.
Major credit cards are widely accepted. We recommend the following currency exchange companies: Forex and Exchange.

Opening hours shopping/ banking

Shops and department stores:

Weekdays: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m./7:00 p.m.

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. (shopping malls and department stores)

 

On the last Saturday of each month, shops have extended opening hours and special offers.
Climate Malmö is located in the south-west of Sweden, where the climate is quite mild. In July and August, the warmest months, the average daytime temperature is 21°C.
Tipping/Tax Service charges are automatically added to hotel and restaurant bills. Tips for outstanding service are not expected, but are optional. Tips for taxi drivers are included in the fare. Sales tax (VAT) is included in all prices.

Transportation to/from the airport Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) is only 20 minutes away by train from downtown Malmö. Trains run round the clock.
