Representatives invited to attend were from environmental groups, port, community and government officials, maritime organisations and local media.

On new website www.ILoveCruiseBaltic.com

Cruise Baltic is encouraging travellers who return from a cruise vacation in the Baltic Sea region to share their favourite experiences on a new website, www.ILoveCruiseBaltic.com. The site provides a forum for these holiday-makers to discuss their Cruise Baltic adventures through text, photos or videos, and access the experiences of fellow visitors to the region. The site also provides a great resource for consumers interested in vacationing in the region.

The Hotel Scandic Anglais and Scandic Park in Stockholm were the venues selected to host the Cruise Baltic Steering Group meeting held earlier this month. Attended by 45 delegates representing the countries of the Baltic Sea region, the Cruise Baltic partners joined in recognising continued success, as the number of cruise passengers to this part of the world has increased by 25 per cent in 2008.
