New director for Cruise Baltic Project

Cruise Baltic Project has a new director: 38-year-old Signe Adamsen has taken the reigns and will be leading the decision making process.

Signe Adamsen was appointed project director of the Cruise Baltic Project on 1 August. She leaves a position as route manager at Scandinavian Airlines Denmark, where she has worked with business strategies and had the responsibility for all leisure traffic out of Copenhagen since 2004. Prior to that Signe held posts as head of Revenue Management and Product Manager in SAS Marketing. Signe’s extensive experience with capacity management, profitability and, not least, at co-ordinating and effective co-operation among many different partners head the list of requirements of her new job description.

 - I am delighted and proud to be Cruise Baltic Project’s new director. It is a unique project, not least because it combines the interests of each destination with that of the Baltic region as a whole. I will do what I can to consolidate the partnership’s major achievements so far, so that together we can move towards our goals, says Signe Adamsen.

Cruise Baltic Project aims to increase the competitiveness of the Baltic Sea Region over a three-year period from 2004-2007; to ensure 20% growth in the number of cruise passengers visiting the Baltic Sea region; as well as to ensure a 4% growth of the Baltic Sea region’s share of the global cruise market.

Signe Adamsen started as project director for Cruise Baltic Project on 1 August, when the former project director Elisabeth Milton Hemmingsen returned to SAS, where she is now regional manager for Russia, the Baltic the CIS countries.
