Hello Miami
Cruise Baltic Project launches marketing themes at Miami Seatrade
Delegates to Miami Seatrade 2006 will hardly be able to avoid hearing about the Baltic Cruise Project (CBP), during the four-day event. Ten thousand cruise trade people are expected to participate in the fair in Miami.
Four events
Everyone will have a chance to hear about the current work of the CBP. CBP Project Director, Mrs. Signe Adamsen will give a presentation at the conference. A press meeting will be held for the international press to inform about the background, strategy and activities undertaken to attract more cruise lines to choose the Baltic Region. A workshop with representatives from the major companies will be arranged to channel customer feedback on CBP’s activities. And, finally, representatives of the cruise lines, travel agents and other trade specialists will be invited to a reception to meet with representatives from the project’s 17 destinations.
Presenting new joint marketing themes
Already on the first day of the conference Signe Adamsen will take the chair and present the strategy behind CBP and report on the status of the co-operation. Among other things she will announce the six themes that constitute the project’s brand and marketing strategy: Northern Light & Mild Climate, Kings & Tsars, Modern Architecture and Design, City Life & Outdoor Events, Great Shopping & Fine Food, Ancient & Modern. The joint themes take their inspiration from the experiences and attractions to be found in the Baltic cruise destinations. But they will also be main drivers of the production development that takes place in many of the cities.
- The themes make it possible for each destination to link their products together with the themed products of other destinations to create a joint marketing and product line. By having themed offers we make it easier for cruise lines to make a headline for the route, and the themes should also inspire them to see the Baltic with new eyes, says Signe Adamsen of Cruise Baltic Project.
