1. Bornholm’s Art Museum
The architecture of the museum is an attraction in itself. Bornholm’s Art Museum houses a permanent collection of works of art and crafts with a relation to Bornholm. Among the works in the collection are paintings by Kristian Zahrtmann, Michael Ancher, Karl Isakson, Oluf Høst and Richard Mortensen.
Bornholm’s Art Museum is close to “Helligdomsklipperne” in one of Denmark’s most beautiful, spectacular landscabes – well worth an excursion in itself.

2. Nature Bornholm
Experience a unique part of Denmark over 1.7 billion years. Enjoy the trip back in the time machine and meet dinosaurs, trilobites and live crocodiles.

3. Oluf Høst Museum
Experience the works of art by painter and native Oluf Høst in the surroundings where he created them. And enjoy the afternoon tea in the beautiful rock garden behind the museum.

4. Hammershus
One of the largest castle ruins in Northern Europe. For almost five centuries the castle was centre stage for a bloody, dramatic era of Bornholm’s history. Experience its unique atmosphere and the fabulous view. And visit the Hammershus Exhibition near the ruins.

5. Round churches
The four characteristic round churches, Østerlarskirke, Olskirke, Nykirke and Nylarskirke are built on the longitudinal basilican plan in the Romanesque style have been preserved from the middle Ages. 

6. The garden museum Erichsens Gård
In the fine old street Laksegade, you find the garden museum Erichsens Gård. Here, you can smell and taste the old-fashioned life of the middle-class of Bornholm at the end of the 19th century. Behind the door, you find a living furnished middle-class house where you bake bread on the wood-burning stove, tint yarn with plants, make mustard, bake pancakes and as a guest you can taste the past. The garden is a sense experience in itself - a nice old garden of the province with flowers and herbs, which we seldom see or smell today.

7. The ceramics museum
The old Hjorths Fabrik, was the leading producer of design and stoneware of Bornholm dating back to 1859. Today, you still work in the old workshops according to old methods. With all your senses, you can experience people and clay interplay through the working process. And if you want to feel a fine material of Bornholm in your hands, also when you get home, you can buy the beautiful products in the museum shop.

9. Town of Gudhjem
The streets of Gudhjem are so steep towards the harbour that it is prohibited to cycle - down the hill. Gudhjem is the most peculiar skerries town of Bornholm. See for yourself how the red tiled roofs, the vigorous gardens and the grey cliffs are draped dramatically around the cliff harbour.

10. Old town of Rønne
Since ages, Rønne has been the cultural capital of the island.
Take a walk on the cobblestones in the quiet streets of the old part of the town behind the church. Here, there are exceptional many fine half-timbered houses.
St. Torv is the living centre of Rønne. Originally, the market place was a drill ground for the military, but today this is the place where guests and natives are gathering. Around the fountain, the granite sculpture, on cafés and in the shops.
Rønne offers many restaurants and cafés and several hotels.
Rønne is full of experiences, opportunities and the central starting point for excursions to the whole island.
