New planning strategies for cruise lines and tour operators

Cruise Baltic Project presents 19 destinations linked by six historic and cultural themes in new, practical product guide.

Cruise Baltic Project is made up of 32 partners from 19 destinations and ten countries. For the first time they will work together to present a practical product guide for cruise lines and tour operators. The guide is intended as a practical tool for cruise professionals working with the marketing and development of the Baltic Sea Region.

- ‘Easy to sell, easy to operate in’, is our motto. And we take this seriously. It ought to be easy to arrange travel to the Baltic region; it should be easy to travel within the Baltic region. With this in mind we have created a user friendly aid for our partners to enable them to plan their cruise tours and communicate in the most easy and efficient way what it is that tourists come here to experience, says project director, Signe Adamsen, Cruise Baltic Project.

’One sea – oceans of adventures’, is the promise inherent in a cruise in the Baltic region. Cruise Baltic Project is marketing these ‘adventures’ under six new, themed headings which give a clear picture of the experiences the Baltic region has to offer. The themes are: Northern Lights & Mild Climate; Kings & Tsars; Modern Architecture & Design, City Life & Outdoor Events; Great Shopping & Fine Food; and Ancient & Modern.

The product guide binds the destinations together within these themes. Each of Cruise Baltic Project’s 19 destinations explains what it has to offer in each category. As well as this the guide also includes public information, port information, useful links and a ‘Top Ten Don’t Miss’ guide for each individual destination.
