Dunes in Neringa National Nature Reserve

Founded in 1252 on the coast of the Baltic Sea, Klaipeda boasts rich history, deeply rooted traditions, distinct culture and beautiful nature.

Formerly Memel, it is a wonderfully unique Lithuanian city by virtue of its colourful and turbulent history and also Old Town‘s exceptional architectural style.

From Klaipeda you have easy access to the beautiful sand dunes of Neringa. The highest in Europe, they are a real natural wonder. Neringa offers a peaceful and soul-cleansing alternative to the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Another popular out-of-town trip is the spa and seaside resort, Palanga, situated only 25 kilometers north of Klaipeda. Here you’ll find long sandy beaches, dunes and forests as well as shops, cafés, bars and romantic restaurants by the sea.
