Cruise Baltic participates at a Spanish tourism fair

In conjunction with FITUR in Madrid, Cruise Baltic will hold a press conference as a part of the increased effort aimed at the Southern European market. The trade show takes place 30 January through 3 February 2008 and is considered one of the world's leading international tourism fairs.

"FITUR is a perfect opportunity to introduce the Baltic Sea Region as a cruise destination to the Spanish market. It is one of Europe's largest tourism trade fairs and therefore a natural choice as a launch pad for our increased effort to be more visible on the Southern European market. During the summer of 2007, we conducted a survey that showed a very high satisfaction rate among cruise tourists in the Baltic Sea Region. A whopping 74% of our Spanish visitors expressed their desire to return to the region. That tells us that the Southern European market is growing and ready for Cruise Baltic," says Director of Cruise Baltic, Bo Larsen.

The first day of the fair is typically marked by long lines and a hectic atmosphere -that's why Cruise Baltic introduce a more pleasant way to start the fair. Under the headline "FITUR without the stress", Cruise Baltic invites journalists to a combined breakfast and press conference the 30^th January. The press conference will be held at a hotel away from the fair where Cruise Baltic Director, Bo Larsen, will talk with the international journalists about the Spaniards' interest in cruising the Baltic Sea Region, the destinations and the growth Cruise Baltic has experienced since the beginning of 2004.

"Cruise Baltic is a unique cruise destination. We appeal to both the 40-year-old Spaniard as well as to the older Brit or American. A cruise in the Baltic Sea Region gives a number of different experiences and is a destination that offers a wealth of history and culture. Our long, light nights, mild climate and possibility for Christmas cruises are some of the things that make us unique in the market," says Director of Cruise Baltic, Bo Larsen.
