Kemi

Marina

Kemi The urban and rural northern landscape changes completely with the seasons. In the winter the temperature falls and the sea freezes. In the summer, when the sun hardly sets at all, the centre of Kemi with its marinas becomes a lively beach boulevard. The midnight sun can be enjoyed from the balconies of the pavilions along the shore.
Inner Harbour The city of Kemi offers everything from shopping malls to small shops and a range of cultural activities. The region is also home to a diversity of industrial companies in sectors such as sawmilling, stainless steel production and papermaking. Budding new sectors include the development, manufacturing and testing of micro-electronic products.
