Supermarkets are generally open from 7:00/9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays (summer and Christmas also open on Sundays) and from 7:00/9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Banks:

Monday - Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Climate Kemi is a city of four distinct seasons. The moderate weather is influenced by both maritime and continental climate patterns. Summer in Kemi begins in June and lasts until August. The average summer temperature is about 12°C, although on hot days the temperature can rise to about 25°C. Kemi is usually at its warmest in July. The Kemi summer is light virtually round the clock. During the summer equinox in late June there are at least 22 hours of daylight between sunrise and sunset.
