Tallinn Medieval Days

During the four days of the first full week of July of each year, the Tallinn Town Hall Square and the area around St. Nicholas Church turn into a blooming Hanseatic town. There is a medieval village on St. Nicholas hill. You can try your hand in various medieval workshops guided by masters, there are competitions to test your skill and strength, a small school for knights, sword fighters teach their skills and you can try your accuracy as an archer. Additionally, there are blacksmiths, carpenters, master builders and many other exciting things to see. Musicians and dancers from near and far show their art. There is also a medieval parade. The Tall Ships Races Tallinn 2024

The Tall Ships Races with around 100 different-size sailing training vessels touring and competing in European waters is the world’s largest offshore regatta. In 2021, this majestic fleet will stop in Tallinn for three days full of various thematic tours, events, and concerts. The tall ships’ visit is celebrated with Europe’s largest family-friendly itinerary maritime festival where you can also visit many of the tall ships for free. The vessels are docking at the Old City Harbour, Port Noblessner, and the Seaplane Harbour.

Tall Ships Races 2024

The Tall Ships fleet will return to the Baltic Sea in 2024! Turku has the honour of being one of the six host ports of the grand sailing event. Previously the event has attracted around half a million visitors and been one of the largest public events in Finland. The ships will start sailing on June 27 from Klaipeda, Lithuania, heading to Tallinn, Helsinki and then Turku. The vessels will travel on a spectacular route through the Turku archipelago, before arriving right in the middle of the city on the Aura riverbanks. From Turku the route continues to Mariehamn, and the final leg to Szczecin, Poland, where the race finishes on August 5.
