We aim to make cruising a sustainable vacation offer in 2030

The Baltic Sea is a global hotspot for the cruise industry. Hundreds of cruise vessels, with thousands of port calls, carrying millions of guests all impact our area.
However, the world is changing and the demand for sustainable tourism is growing. We will keep attracting cruise guests while simultaneously transforming the Baltic Sea into the most sustainable cruise destination in the world.

Sustainability Report 2023

The Cruise Baltic Sustainability Report 2023 follows up on the objectives of the Cruise Baltic Sustainability Manifesto. It reflects the most relevant sustainable initiatives implemented by the Cruise Baltic ports and destinations during 2023.

All based on the vision of:
"Making cruising a sustainable vacation offer in 2030".

Tool: How sustainable is your cruise region?

Cruise Baltic and leading consulting group COWI have joined forces to develop four indicators for sustainability in the cruise industry.

The tool is an easy and concrete way to evaluate sustainability in a particular cruise region, and it can help regions to become more aware of where and how they can become more sustainable.

Cruise Baltic wants to encourage all cruise regions in the world to be as sustainable as possible and this tool is a step in the right direction in order to make concrete changes.

Access the tool below, to measure sustainability in your region in just a few minutes.

It was signed by 29 partners at the Baltic Sustainable Cruise Conference in Copenhagen on May 7th 2019.

Commitment to shore power

On April 5th 2022 the Cruise Baltic network, politicians, cruise line executives, and other stakeholders from the cruise industry met in Copenhagen for Sustainable Cruising.
