The Baltic Sea has become one of the global hotspots for the rising cruise industry. Hundreds of cruise vessels, with thousands of port calls, carrying millions of guests all impact our area. However, the world is changing and the demand for sustainable tourism is growing. We will keep attracting cruise guests while simultaneously transforming the Baltic Sea into the most sustainable cruise destination in the world.

The Cruise Baltic Sustainability Manifesto

The Cruise Baltic Sustainability Manifesto was created together with all partners of Cruise Baltic as a joint vision towards a more sustainable region.

The vision of the Manifesto is:
"Making cruising a sustainable vacation offer in 2030"

It was signed by 29 partners at the Baltic Sustainable Cruise Conference in Copenhagen on May 7th 2019.

Cruise Baltic; a completely paper-free cruise network

Sustainable choices are an essential part of Cruise Baltic and as the first cruise network to go completely paperless, the aim at being the most sustainable cruise destination in the world got one step closer.

Sustainability is key and all products used by Cruise Baltic are carefully selected. When present at trade shows, the intention is to inspire through the production of sustainable booths and when purchasing giveaways, roll-ups and other materials, its origin and footprint are always considered.

Cruise Baltic wish to be leading the green agenda and the above-mentioned actions are just a sneak-peak of what has already been initiated and what is yet to come.
